Heavy rainfall events can suddenly cause a large amount of rainwater to accumulate on the surface. Parking areas require a drainage system that can handle even exceptional amounts of water. A large inlet area, a good water flow coefficient are advantages that should be considered in gutter systems.
Application & drainage channel system
When deciding on the right gutter system, the application is decisive. In the case of parking areas for car areas with a lot of pedestrian traffic, drainage channels with smaller inlet holes should be installed to ensure the safety of passers-by. For truck parking lots or access roads to parking lots, the particularly massive drainage channels are the best choice (ACO offers drainage channels up to load class F900). For parking areas combined with bus stops or roundabouts, curb drainage channels are particularly practical.
